Who We Are

We invite you to explore the foundational principles that guide our faith and shape our community.

History & Background

We started in 1951

By men and women of faith in and around Concord wanting to follow the lead of God formed as a community of faith.

Today we continue to have pastors and office staff leading us, however, we rely most upon the service, talents, and spiritual gifts of the membership. We believe the Bible to be the word of God revealing his nature, his purpose, his will, and his salvation. We believe God’s Word is as relevant today as it was yesterday. So we set our course on following Jesus Christ who is “the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Our affiliation | Core Values

We are an evangelical Southern Baptist congregation associated with churches in parts of central and east Contra Costa and east Alameda counties. We are part of the California Southern Baptist Convention of churches as well as the national Southern Baptist Convention. All SBC churches are autonomous, making decisions for themselves rather than the denomination controlling them.
